THE MAIN EVENT

Our Sunday services are our main event each week where everyone is welcome to join us for lively worship, a message from the Bible and a chance to make friends and connect with other people.

Our Sunday service starts at 10.30am. You can turn up for the start, or come down a little earlier to sample the atmosphere, chat with friends and grab a free coffee - from around 9:45am.

OTHER QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE?

Where do I park?

We have FREE on site parking for up to 200 cars. Our car park team will assist you and show you where to park on arrival. If you are visiting for the first time, put your hazard lights on to let the team know and they’ll make sure you are looked after.

How long is the service?

Our services last no more than 1 hour 30 minutes.

What do I wear?

Clothes! Seriously, whatever you are comfortable with. We don’t have a dress code.

Where do I sit?

If you have small children then the right hand side of the main arena is ideal for you with easy access to the facilities. Otherwise, pretty much sit where you like! We don’t normally reserve seats, but if you have a specific request, please let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Our stewards will be on hand to help you on the day with any questions or concerns.

What is there for children?

We have a dedicated children’s programme that runs for all children aged 3 to 10. The whole family is together for the singing part of the service. The children are released into their age specific groups just before the Bible teaching for the adults starts. For more information about what happens in our children's provision visit this page.

At the end of the service, you simply collect your child from their group. Full information on how to register and collect your child is available from the Information Desk before the service starts.

Do you have any facilities for children aged under 3?

Yes, we have a Parent & Baby room for children aged 0 – 2 years. The Parent & Baby room is available during the Sunday morning service and provides a live video feed from our main service.

What happens during a typical service?

Our service normally starts with a welcome from one of the Lead Team, perhaps a short prayer and then we sing two or three songs together. The singing is led by a band with the words behind them on a large screen. After that, we sometimes share communion (some people call it Eucharist/Breaking of bread), give some information about upcoming events and then release the children to their groups. Then one of our Pastors shares for about 30 minutes. They share from the Bible what they believe God is saying and offer advice and inspiration as to how to live out what the Bible says, throughout the rest of the week. The service then closes with a song and perhaps a prayer.

Do I have to give any money?

You don’t have to pay to come to church. We do take up an offering once every month for people who wish to support the work of The Foundry Church. The Foundry Church doesn’t receive any external funding; we only operate because of the generosity of those people who give to the continued work of the church.

Most people who want to support the work of the church do so via monthly standing order; if you want to support the church in this way you can find out more information here.

What happens after the service?

Most people stay for coffee and cake, and connect with friends or make new ones. All tea and coffee is free of charge; we just charge for cake.

We also have a Connect Lounge at the back of the main arena for you to come and say hello and find out more on how to get connected with us as a church. There will always be a friendly face there waiting to connect with you... there might even be a free slice of cake for you!

How can I find out more information or speak to someone?

The Foundry is a place where everyone is welcome. Please have a good look around our website, or get in touch via our contact page and one of our team will get back to you as soon as possible.
