Someone once said that women were from Venus, and men were from Mars! The point they were making, is that men and women are different! We are different, and each have unique God given skills, abilities, and gifts; but we are cut from the same cloth; or more Biblically speaking, born from the same Spirit; the Spirit of God. That same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in you and me; men and women, and if we surrender to His plan and purpose, there is no limit to what God might do through me, regardless of my gender.

Let’s celebrate our God given equality and use it for His glory. Together with Paul, we celebrate that in God’s kingdom there is “neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” - Galatians 3:28 (NIV).

Questions for application:

  1. Do I really believe in gender equality? If so, how does my life demonstrate that?
  2. How can I better champion members of the opposite sex to me?
